For over 80 years, Curtis Roofing has been a major contributor to the growth of Sacramento and the surrounding area. We have roofed thousands of residences and worked on many commercial projects, including the Governor's Mansion, Cal Expo, Sutter Memorial Hospital, and Raley's & Bel Air Supermarkets, just to name a few. Our expert roofers are our own employees, not contracted labor. They have accumulated over 500 years of excellence experience in the roofing business. We are proven experts in all types of commercial and residential roofing and re-roofing, including composition shingles, wood shakes, concrete & clay tile, and various built-up membrane systems.
We have always been at the forefront of roofing product improvement and innovation. Stinky asphalt built-up roofing has thankfully given way to technologically advanced single-ply and self-adhering membrane systems. These new products, mandated by law in California, contribute to energy savings.
Residential roofing products have changed, too. Wood shakes have been a roofing standard for decades, but now our wood shakes are fire-treated so homeowners can rest assured that their roofs are at the same time beautiful and fire-resistant. We are especially proud of our wood shake roofers who are truly expert craftsmen in a field that is fast becoming a dying art. Composition shingles have changed too, becoming more beautiful and sophisticated, giving wood shake roofs some healthy competition. Residential roofs are becoming more energy conscious, too, with the introduction of 'cool' roof colors.
Company History
Curtis Roofing was founded in 1928 by Fred B. Curtis. In 1951, the company incorporated and added five of the top local roofing experts as co-owners. In our 80 year history, we have enjoyed roofing for repeat customers, roofing some homes for the third time! Now in the 21st century, Curtis Roofing remains a locally owned, family business, dedicated to provide excellence in roofing at the best price.
